Improve Restroom Appearance and Feel
As good as a restaurant can be, meaning great food and atmosphere, good prices and outstanding services, if the restroom is dirty or loaded with overpowering odors clients won’t be coming back to dine. Same thing is valid for stores or theaters or even in casinos. The restroom perception can derail an entire experience.
Urinal Mats are the option
The mats are used for under wall-mounted urinals and improve the look and the feel of a restroom. By shape and color, these mats are designed to prevent drips, splashes and unfortunate misses given they are properly mounted and placed. The mats are available also in various compositions including plastic, rubber frame with replaceable absorbent pad, a framed mat with an absorbent core or carpeted style where fibers absorb urine.
Just as these mats vary in shape and composition they also differ in how they adhere to the floor. However, regardless of style, they have the same purpose – to create a pleasant restroom experience, to demonstrate the customer that you care.
Urinal mats are also keeping restrooms smelling clean. Often the misconception is that the odor comes from the urinals whereas, the actual source is the dried urine on the floor. Simple overnight cleaning will not decrease significantly odors neither urinal mats are going to magically remove odor without cleaning staff disinfecting the floors. A restroom can be clean and still smell bad, and for some type of businesses that can be a horrible perception. Urinal mats capture and remove odors, not mask them with a fragrance.
Left untreated, urine deposits can also cause lasting damage to the floors. Uric acid and salts can damage the floor finish and set into the grout, stone or wood floors.
Urinal mats are ADA compliant and provide another layer of safety in the restroom – puddles left on the floor can often be the case of safety issues.
